Fujiwara Shin'ichi

Shinichi Fujiwara (Shinichi Fujiwara, Koka 3rd year <1846> -Showa 5th year <1930>) is an ukiyo-e artist and illustrator in the Meiji era.

Yamazaki Toshinobu's master, real name Inosuke. Born in Osaka, he was originally a female actor named Tamio, the second generation Onoe Tamizou. Later, he came to Kochi with Tamizo for a tour. In 1882, he became a student of Toshinobu Yamazaki. When Toshinobu, who drew the illustrations for the novel in the "Doyo Shimbun", left Tosa, he was selected as his successor, and until around February 1889, he drew the illustrations in the "Doyo Shimbun". After that, he went to Osaka and worked on the illustrations for "Shinonome Shimbun". Furthermore, when Kuroiwa Shuroku was struggling to manage "Manchoho", he got the treatment of Takika by drawing an illustration of the same paper without compensation, and moved to Asakusa, Tokyo to draw an illustration of "Manchoho". draw. He is in charge of the frontispiece of the novel by Tearka, and has left a nishiki-e as well as an illustration. In his later years, he lived in Mt. Shigi, Nara and died there. Age 85.
