Utagawa Yoshikata

Utagawa Yoshikata (Tenpo 12 <1841> --August 1, 1864 ) is an ukiyo-e artist at the end of the Edo period.

A student of Kuniyoshi Utagawa. His real surname is Otomo and his first name is Konosuke. It is called Isshinsai. Born as the third son of Hou Makino's doctor, Yoshijun Otomo. He lives in Kayamachi, Shitaya, and later in Kayamachi, Nihonbashi, Honshirogane, and Kameshima. At the age of 12 or 3, he entered Kuniyoshi's gate and drew warrior paintings from Ansei to Bunkyu. He also participated in the collaboration "Joraku Tokaido" (3rd year of Bunkyu), and left a work with a strange composition like "Tokaido Kuwana", but died at the age of 24. The graveyard is Enjuji Temple in Yanaka, Taito-ku, Tokyo, and the name is Akiyamain Yoshigata Helioseist.
