Toyokiyo Utagawa (Kansei 11th year <1799> --Bunsei 3rd year <1820>) is an ukiyo-e artist from the Edo period.
A student of Toyokuni Utagawa, a child of Toyohiro Utagawa, commonly known as Kinzo or Kinjiro. He lived in Shibakatamonmaecho with his father Toyohiro. His first name was Utagawa Kinzo, and he first became an ukiyo-e artist, and after the spring of 1812, he changed his name to Toyokiyo. Toyohiro and Toyokuni were two of the same family, but the relationship was bad and there was a feud, and there was a temporary disagreement. It is said that after Shikitei Sanba settled it, Kinzo was made to learn from Toyokuni. He has been good at drawing since he was a child, and in the 7th year of Bunka (1810), he drew an illustration of the gōkan "Brush Hijimatsu" at the age of 12. The style of painting is inherited from Toyokuni Bijin-ga in the latter half of culture. He grew up in a blessed environment with Toyokuni, who was the most popular at that time, as a master on the lineage of Toyohiro's child. Year of enjoyment 22.
