Utagawa Kunimaro

Kunimaro Utagawa (birth and death unknown) is an ukiyo-e artist from the end of the Edo period to the beginning of the Meiji period.

Kunisada Utagawa and the 4th generation Toyokuni Utagawa. At first, he was Utagawa Sadafusa. His real surname is Kikukoshi, and his common name is Kikutaro. Named Utagawa's painting surname, his first name was Fusahiro, and later Kunimaro. The large-format nishiki-e collection "Totobori Famous Place" says "Fusahiro Kai Kunimaro". It was also called Ichiensai, Shochoro, Kirakusai, Marumaru, Marumaru Dirty Man, and Hiramonjin Marumaru. The haiku name is Kikuo. The drawing period is from the latter half of Tenpo to the first year of the Meiji era. It is said that he is the same person as Matsuchoro Kansai, a painter whose drawing period was around Kaei.
