Tamagawa Shucho (birth and death unknown) is an ukiyo-e artist from the Edo period.
A master of Buncho style. From Kansei to Kyowa (1789 to 1804), he was a painter during the heyday of Nishiki-e, drawing illustrations for Nishiki-e and Kibyoshi. Representative works include the large-format nishiki-e "Fuyu Makeup Mirror" and "Four Seasons Children's Play". In addition to these beautiful women's paintings, you can also see uki-e paintings of Mt. Ueno Toei and the cool evening scenery of Ryogoku. In addition, he draws an illustration of the yellow cover "Katakiuchi Tokkuri" (written by Makousen) published in Kyowa 3 (1803). There was a time when he was once considered a master of Utamaro Kitagawa.
