Shiba Kokan (4th year of Enkyo (1747)-October 21, 1818 (November 19, 1818) was a painter and Dutch scholar in the Edo period. Under the name of Harushige Suzuki, he learned the Enkyo school's sketching method and Western paintings from China (Qing) and presented them as works. In this publication, he introduced Western natural sciences such as world maps and geography theory. His real names were Yoshijiro Ando and Shun Ando. His common name was Katsusaburo, and later Son Tayu. In addition, they are called Shunparou, Momoko, Silent Michito, and Western Michito.
