Shunman Kubo (Horeki 7th year <1757> --September 20th, 1820
The surname is Kubota or Kubo. Known as Yubei or Yasubei. The picture number was called Shunman Kubo. It is also called Shozadou (this is because Toshimitsu was left-handed). The gesaku issues are Nanda Koshiran, Huangshan-do, Kyoka-go, Ichibushi-senkan, and Haiku-Shiokara-bo. Born in Edo in the 7th year of the Horeki calendar. He lost his father at an early age and was fed by his uncle. He lived in Kodenmacho, Kameicho, Kanda Tomatsucho, etc. At first, he learned from Nahiko Katori and called him Harumitsu. At the end of Yasunaga, he entered the Kitao Shigemasa Gate and named him Kitao. When Katori died in the 2nd year of Tenmei (1782), the name of the painting was changed to Toshimitsu.
