Tsukimaro Kitagawa (Tsukimaru Kitagawa, year of birth and death unknown) is an ukiyo-e artist from the Edo period.
A master of Utamaro Kitagawa. The surname is Ogawa and the first name is Jun. The popular name is Chisuke (or Rokusaburo), and the characters are children (shis). Sumitei, Saisai, and later called Kansetsu. It is said that the first name was Kikumaru (used from around Kansei), Kikumaru after Kyowa 2 (1802), and Tsukimaro from the first year of culture (1804). In the first year of the culture, he was put on a chain with his teacher, Utamaro. He demonstrated his skill in Kusazoshi illustrations and hand-drawn beauty paintings rather than Nishiki-e, and seems to have a close relationship with Jippensha Ikku, and is often in charge of illustrations in 19th drama. Many of his works follow the style of his teacher Utamaro's later years when he was signed by Tsukimaro. After the cultural period, it became Katsushika Hokusai style, and it is said that after the name of Kansetsu, it was separated from the production of Ukiyo-e. The style of painting is changing. However, the influence of the upper Shijo school was also recognized in the depiction and the subject, and it is pointed out that there is a possibility that he was practicing painting in the upper land.
